I got my OSAP money today which means shopping time! Haha. well I needed some new jeans for sure since I only had one pair that Id wear.. so I ended up getting 2 pairs of jeans, 2 hoodies and 2 tank tops for around $100 at Bluenotes. Pretty good I think.
Ive been sticking to my meal plans and have been trying out a lot of recipies. I just made the easiest, cheapest, fastest recipie ever. All you do is add 1 can of kidney beans, half a can of tomato sauce, 1 cup of salsa, 2/3 cup uncooked pasta, 3/4 cup water, 2 tsp chili powder to a pan and let it simmer for 15 mins and its done. Then you put cheddar cheese on top. Brad loved it. Ill probably be making it again. It will probably taste even better tmr for lunch :D

Wiiiiii
School actually seems a bit easier this semester.. I ll probably take that back in a week or so. The class didn't get too much smaller. I think 10 people failed and one girl went crazy from the stress and dropped out. Well thats the rumour anyways. Her boyfriend is in our program too and I guess they broke up because when my friend asked him what happend to her and if shes ok all he said is "I don't know, shes fucked up". lol. Interesting.
I've been playing on my Wii Fit a little bit each day. Supposedly from last Friday Ive lost 5lbs. I know thats proabably just due to weighing myself at different times in the day but its still nice to see the line going down on the weight chart. When I started my wii fit age was 37! ew. Now its down to 28. That's pretty good in once week. Im almost at my actual age.
I'm going to go try and find out where my boyfriend is cause hes missing. lol.

The third is to study EVERY DAY after school/on breaks on what I learned that day so I don't fall behind
and the last one is to stick to our budget and pay down Brads debt, this includes not eating out for almost every single meal anymore so I decided to start making weekly meal plans. The budget for food is $50/wk.
Meal plan for Jan 5th - Jan 11th
for lunches each day we can just have leftovers from the day before, or sandwiches etc.
Monday: Easy slow cooker chicken (I decided on this recipe because I have absolutely no time to make dinner after class before Brad has to go to work on Mondays, plus I dont think Ill feel like cooking after being in school from 830am-530pm with only an hour break)
Tuesday: Easy spaghetti and meat balls (another long day, this is fast and easy, I just use pre cooked frozen PC lean meatballs, any jarred pasta sauce, half a green pepper and pre sliced mushrooms, oh and pasta of course)
Wednesday: Hurried goulash with noodles and peas - I buy extra beef and marinate and freeze half of it for Fridays stirfry
Thursday - Scalloped potato stuff - my mom thought of this really easy one pot recipe, you buy betty crockers creamy scalloped potato mix, chicken and some frozen veggies
Friday - Teriyaki beef stir fry - very easy and fast using defrosted beef from wednesday
Saturday - eating out night or if theres not enough money in the budget then spaghetti or kraft dinner.. something easy
Sunday - Chicken chickpea rice/noodle bowls

Its Beginning to feel alot Like Christmas
Yesterday was all about christmas shopping. Brad and I got almost every present we needed. I'm still waiting for some stuff in the mail from amazon.ca and we need to buy a gift set from the LCBO for chinese christmas, but thats it then we're done.
We also learned that Brad starts his holidays earlier than we thought so that means going home earlier which is great.
Brad bought a huge new skratching post for the cats for an early xmas gift. They love it. They can stretch really high and they like to attack it and play with it too. The other one we had was from when we first got Jade which was a year and a half ago. It was really short so theyd have to lay down to skratch it. Anyways enough about skratching posts .. haha. wow my life is boring.

10 Reasons you should Date a Scientist
10 - The world revolves around Scientists, we know how everything works!
9 - We are over-exposed to latex and have become very tolerable
8 - We are "Oh so smart" you'll never be mentally bored with us... So you wanna know why your poo is brown? (I so know why haha)
7 - All this thinking we do is terribly draining, so we like to be physically challenged & EXPERIMENT too!
6 - There's no need to see a doctor when you're with us, we've seen & tested just about every bacterial disease there is!
5 - We're physiologically knowledgeable, if you're unhappy about a physical feature, we can Genetically Modify YOU
4 - We can hook you up with all the essential party goods... dry ice, Eppie bombs and a shit load of combustible materials. What more could you want?
3 - We look extremely cute in our white lab coats, especially when we wear nothing underneath
2 - You will sound just as smart as us if you say you're dating a Scientist!
1 - Because if you leave us, we'll willingly use you as a lab rat & inject a virus in you

Le Sigh
Well I did it, I actually passed 3rd semester. The last two weeks I litteraly had no free time. I could barely even eat. This week was the worst. I was in bed at midnight and up at 4am studying. Id go home to eat dinner and then come back to the library at school and study until 11 and do it all over again the next day. I felt like I was high and walking in a cloud or something. It was weird, and the stress was so bad that I felt sick all the time and I started having chest pains, not to mention nightmares about failing every night. Im glad its over....anyways, my final marks were pretty good, I didn't get any in the 60s which was my goal. We have a lab portion and a lecture portion for every subject and we have to get at least a 64% in EACH one or we fail the whole program. Then at the end they combine the two marks to give you the final mark. Heres what I ended up with
Hematology 80%
Transfusion Science 80%
Clinical Chemistry 75%
Histotechnology 80%
Microbiology 75%
Im kinda interested to see how many people come back next semester. I know for a fact that 10 people failed and im sure theres people in class that don't discuss that they're failing. Theres only 48 (we started with 60 last year) of us so even 10 is a significant amount. Now I have to think of placement. We have to give our 1st, 2nd, and 3rd choices by Jan 19th. Ahhh. I dont even wanna think about going to placement it scares me lol.
10 more days until I get to go home for the holidays! Im so excited. Its going to be a boring week here until then though. Brad and I are leaving the night of the 23rd and staying until Jan 2nd. Should be fun. I need to start xmas shopping soon ahhh.
Edit. I almost forgot to say, I got my stuff on spalook even cheaper since they took so long shipping. They said it was the holiday season but I asked what they could do for me to make me a happy customer so they took an extra 15% off my bill so I saved almost $35 in the end. woo!!
